The realization of the D7 was a strong alliance: in Martin Bereuter from the Bereuter joinery in the Bregenz Forest, the designer found a strong partner for implementation. In keeping with the tradition of the Neue Vorarlberger Bauschule, Tecta also has the filigree furniture made by master carpenter Bereuter today, and the craftsmanship from the Bregenz Forest has long been known beyond Vorarlberg. The region stands for honest materials, for the combination of past and future, for design language and construction.

The new D7 chair by Klemens Grund therefore fits in with Tecta's way of thinking and design. It is kinetically foldable, changeable, and is also available as a fixed version. Klemens Grund hid the brass folding mechanism almost invisibly in the back leg, more of a beautiful detail than a technical necessity "Most people are surprised by the folding mechanism, almost like a magic trick," describes the designer. The D7 also has a special feature that demonstrates its affinity with Tecta: similar to the D4 folding chair by Marcel Breuer (from 1927), the D7 chair takes on an almost sculptural quality when folded and leaning against the wall.
