A desk that looks like a stone triumphal arch or a drawer tower in the shape of a column: the Swiss architect duo Trix and Robert Haussmann ironically questioned the functionalist principles of modernism in the 1970s, not only with their architecture but also with their furniture. However, the RH201 armchairs date back to the time before they founded their joint office “Allgemeine Entwurfsanstalt”, with which they developed their famous postmodern strategies: Designed by Robert Haussmann in the 1960s, the armchairs in brown leather and free-swinging base in chrome-plated flat steel were produced by de Sede. The elegant armchairs are very suitable for seating in a meeting room.
