Bejewelled Fish by Ango is a sculptural handcrafted chandelier from Ango’s jewellery series, conceived as a poetic constellation of light and movement. Each pendant is meticulously formed using a traditional Thai hand-welded steel filigree technique, then delicately coated and interwoven with golden metallised crochet thread. The result is a luminous object that balances refinement, craftsmanship, and symbolic meaning.
When composed in groups, the fish-like pendants appear to drift and swim through the air, animating the space with a sense of fluid motion and quiet rhythm. Light is softly refracted through the open filigree structure, creating subtle reflections and layered shadows that enrich contemporary interiors. The installation can be scaled and arranged freely, allowing architects and interior designers to create bespoke compositions for double-height spaces, stairwells, hospitality interiors, private residences, and statement areas.
Rooted in both craft and cultural narrative, Bejewelled Fish was developed in collaboration with a feng shui master, where the motif of swimming fish symbolises flow, prosperity, and harmony. First presented at Maison & Objet Paris, the piece stands as a refined lighting artwork—at once decorative, symbolic, and architectural—bridging jewellery-like detail with spatial presence.
