Almost 150 years have passed since Horgenglarus was founded in Horgen near Zurich - today it is the oldest chair and table manufacturer in Switzerland. Over the years, the durability and quality of workmanship of its furniture has attracted many renowned Swiss designers to work with the company, such as Hans Bellmann, Werner Max Moser and Max Ernst Haefeli. The latter designed the Haefeli bench in the 1920s and 1930s. In contrast to other designers, Haefeli did not seek to break with tradition, but created furniture with a familiar appearance. This is a bench from the 1930s / 1940s. It is in a very beautiful, restored vintage condition with signs of age-related wear.
