Prof. Herbert Hirche, a Bauhaus student, was the first architect with whom Wilkhahn had a close collaboration. He was no exception when it came to his affinity for combining architecture with seating furniture. Wilkhahn owes him several successful models, which are characterized by straight, delicately appearing solid wood frames. The upholstered armchair 484A was part of the premium furniture for comfortable waiting, focused listening, or elegant dining.
