In the Experiment Chair, Kukkapuro sought to add art to Functionalism, to satisfy romantic tastes alongside meeting essential needs. The result is startling, authentic, a hero of twentieth-century design. It has been Hem's privilege to work alongside Yrjö to reintroduce the Experiment Chair to a new generation. The updated Experiment Chair is faithful to the original, featuring the same decorative armrests; red symbolizing fire, green representing trees, and blue denoting waves on a lake. New upholstery options are available, and the chair features subtle resizing tailored to contemporary needs.
