Rico Baltensweiler and Rosmarie Schwarz, who were still unmarried at the time, developed the first lamp for their own use in their home workshop in Lucerne in the early 1950s. Many architect friends liked the Type 600 Model 51 so much that the first series of 10 was produced. As the range of lamps for the home and office grew, so did the company. In the meantime, the company has been transformed into a family-owned corporation. The table lamp, designed in 1970, is in good condition with slight signs of wear.
