After years of producing sophisticated furniture for the Knoll company, the Swiss cabinetmakers Röthlisberger suddenly had to reorient themselves as production was moved abroad for cost reasons. So Röthlisberger realized the idea of its own collection with well-known Swiss designers. In 1977, the first edition was created with various well-known Swiss designers such as Hans Eichenberger, Ulrich P. Wieser and Robert & Trix Haussmann. Over the course of time, further collaborations took place, including with the designer couple Carmen & Urs Greutmann. The duo's shared history goes back to the time when they studied together at the University of Art and Design in Zurich. Four years later, they founded the Greutmann Bolzern design studio in Zurich and have since successfully managed various projects, such as interior design, the chair for product design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and the development of products. Their Muscat design, created for Röthlisberger, impresses with its simple elegance and is made from solid chestnut. The table top impresses with a harmonious interplay of different materials and shapes.
