The L25 has been reinterpreted in a new color by Studio für Gestaltung. The result is a first edition limited to 5 pieces each: the L25N in neon orange, neon green and ultramarine - an ultramarine that is reminiscent of Rietveld's famous red-blue chair or quotes Piet Mondrian with his color-intensive paintings. "Rietveld and his contemporaries in the De Stijl movement were very bold and intense in their use of color at the time," explains designer Tobias Groß, "we wanted to pick up on this courage. Back then, powerful primary colors made a statement and emphasized the design language and construction. We are following this idea."

With the almost 40-centimetre-high table lamp that Rietveld designed in 1925, he transformed the horizontal and vertical into a captivating, small object whose delicate construction merges into a single unit thanks to the new colors. The paintwork is complex: the lamp has to be painted around nine times to achieve its color intensity. This is what creates the luminous effect that makes it appear more sculptural, less technical and therefore more contemporary. It was a challenge for Tecta to translate the design into contemporary LED technology. Today, the result is a luminaire that is as technically sophisticated as if it had been designed for modern light sources from the outset.
