During SP-Arte 2025, ETEL presented new pieces designed by Rodrigo Ohtake and Ruy Ohtake, reinforcing the legacy of formal and material experimentation that defines the Ohtake family’s creative practice.
Among the highlights was the Tomie Table, originally conceived by Ruy Ohtake in concrete for the Casa-Ateliê Tomie Ohtake. In this edition, Rodrigo Ohtake reinterprets the design, translating it entirely into wood. More than a material adaptation, the piece symbolizes the continuity of an architectural vision passed down through generations, from a design created by Ruy for his mother Tomie’s space to its reimagining through Rodrigo’s hands. It is a work that forms part of the Ohtake family’s ongoing narrative, reaffirming the dialogue between architecture, design, and art.
