Brutalist Design

The mid-20th century architectural movement of Brutalism also permeated furniture and lighting design. Defined by an undoctrinaire use of materials (especially concrete), stark geometric forms and a rejection of ornamentation, Brutalism was a highly distinctive style. It emphasised structural integrity, functionality and the natural appeal of unadorned materials.
