Catalog essay

As an industrial designer, Walter Papst quickly recognized the advantages of the new fiberglass plastic (GFK) and reoriented himself both artistically and in terms of form. This led to the creation of a children's furniture program that grows with the child.
However, Papst also designed within the realm of traditional wood craftsmanship. This clearly designed chair, with seat and back cushions, made long waits comfortable and made moving it easy. The visible rivets in the upholstery gave it a distinct visual feature.
